La Villa de Mlle B
Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine / IFA
Under the guidance of Fiona Meadows, ten female architects designed Mademoiselle B’s “ideal house.”
Each architect was responsible for one room of the villa in a 1/6th scale model: Urban Cottage, Lunch Box, Treasure Island, Secret Garden, not to mention Pet Land, etc.
Gaëlle was in charge of the Blablabla Lounge. She created a playful universe based on the premise that yes, Barbie is a woman who contemplates her condition and that lightness often conceals profound depths. In this gynoecium, where discussions and confessions take place, kitsch competes with illusion, fantasy with plastic, and chic with humor.
